Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2106. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, authorizing the submission of an application to the United States Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management to renew lease AZA-015957- The Recreation and Public Purposes Lease of September 9, 1983 (and subsequent amendments) for Joe Orduño Park. SUMMARY:
This is a request for authorization to submit a Recreation and Public Purpose (R&PP) lease renewal application for the continued use of 28.12 acres of land commonly known as Joe Orduño Park to provide a community park and community center and any future related services and to authorize the City Manager or designee to sign the resulting documents.
On September 9, 1983, the Bureau of Land Management granted the City of San Luis lease AZA-015957. The R&PP lease property located in the vicinity of the northeast corner of Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Main Street. The city has developed the said property for recreational public purposes and is ready to submit an application to review the said lease.
One of the application requirements is a certified copy of a resolution authorizing the filing of the application and further authorizing the signing officer to execute the application. The approval of Resolution No. 2106 will meet this requirement.
