ITEM:
Update followed by discussion and possible directions to staff on any and all matters regarding the 4th of July Freedom Celebration that will be taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Joe Orduno Park. (Lizandro Galaviz, Director of Parks & Recreation)
SUMMARY:
The Parks & Recreation Department have been discussing different ways of making this year's 4th of July Freedom Celebration memorable for the City of San Luis community. Currently, the world is going through a pandemic in which social distancing, cleanliness and safety precautions are extremely important. The Parks & Recreation staff would like to provide City Council with updates of what staff believes would encourage our community to enjoy and celebrate the 4th of July Freedom Celebration from the comfort and security of their homes. Staff is also open to any recommendations & directions from City Council in making this year's 4th of July Freedom Celebration a spectacular experience for the community.
