ITEM:

Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the approval to change the existing Federal contract with Verizon to State contract NASPO. (Derek Duenas, IT Manager)

SUMMARY:

Staff is recommending changing the existing agreement with Verizon from a Federal to State contract. The change in the contract will allow the City of San Luis to gain access to additional services and cellular plans that are not available under our existing Federal contract. One of the plans that would become available includes low-cost roaming services which is becoming a necessity.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPROVE THE VERIZON WIRELESS PLAN TO THE STATE CONTRACT USING THE TERMS OF NASPO VALUE POINT AS PRESENTED FOR AN ESTIMATED YEARLY COST OF $111,255.00.
