Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the proposed agreement with Arizona Interagency Farmworkers Coalition, Inc for Fiscal Year 2020-2021. (Tadeo A. De La Hoya, City Manager and Francia Alonso, Assistant to Council/PIO)
SUMMARY:
Service: Arizona Interagency Farmworkers Coalition, Inc. (AIFC) is a non-profit organization whose primary focus is to increase awareness and coordinate efforts for migrant and seasonal agricultural workers in the state of Arizona. Each year, AIFC awards between 5 to 10 scholarships in the amount of $1,500.00 to students from migrant families. The Agreement requires that the city's funds would go no more than 5% to promote the scholarship in San Luis and the rest for scholarships to students who are residents of San Luis seeking post-secondary education.
Amount: The city has already budgeted funds for $3,000.00 for AIFC scholarships for Fiscal Year 2020-2021.

I MOVE TO APPROVE THE AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA INTERAGENCY FARMWORKERS COALITION, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,000.00 AS PRESENTED.
