ITEM:
Discussion and possible directions to staff on any and all matters regarding the proposed agreement with Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) Cancer Center for Fiscal Year 2020-2021. (Tadeo A. De La Hoya, City Manager, and Francia Alonso, Assistant to Council/PIO)
SUMMARY:
Service: Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) Cancer Center Hispanic Support Group provides support and guidance to cancer patients, their families, and loved ones. YRMC Cancer Center currently has 40 active participants from Yuma County, a majority of which are from the City of San Luis and the City of Somerton. The city's funds will go to benefit those in the group who are residents of San Luis and no more than 5% of the funds for outreach in San Luis regarding the support group.
Amount: The City of San Luis has already budgeted funds in the amount of $5,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2020-2021.
