The ordinance is designated to reflect current trends in probation practices and with the proposed fees will off-set the cost of carrying out services to probationers. The Court will impose these fees as a condition of probation unless under City Code procedures the Court determines the inability of the probationer to pay and imposes a lesser fee or in the case of extreme hardship, no fee at all. Compliance Officers will ensure that probationers will comply with their conditions of probation as imposed by the Court.
