Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the approval and adoption of Order No. 2023-02. An order of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona to authorize the City of San Luis Police Department to receive funding for overtime and mileage by approving an Intergovernmental Agreement and authorizing execution of Subrecipient Agreement Operation Stonegarden Grant Program Award; Overtime and Mileage between the State of Arizona through the Arizona Department of Homeland Security and the City of San Luis, Arizona through the San Luis Police Department. SUMMARY:
The City of San Luis Police Department has been awarded $890,971 for overtime and $24,475 for mileage under the Fiscal Year 2022 Operation Stonegarden Program Award Number 22-AZDOHS-OPSG-220415-01. The grant performance period is March 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024. The total awarded grant funded amount is $915,446.
The adoption of this order will support the United States Border Patrol mission by allowing police officers the ability to prevent or stop the ingress of drugs ingress and the smuggling of undocumented persons, and the nexus to terrorism.

I MOVE TO APPROVE AND ADOPT ORDER NO. 2023-02 APPROVING THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT AND GRANT AS PRESENTED.

The City of San Luis budgeted in FY 2023 for this item, we currently have remaining $660,000 for use this year. San Luis Police Department will receive $915,446 in Overtime and Mileage as reimbursements. The remaining non budgeted balance will carry over to FY 2024.
Finance will transfer budget from account 250-181-50010 and account 250-181-70005 to the accounts below to ensure funds are tracked in the correct account.
