Public hearing followed by discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding recommendation of the Liquor License Application submitted to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control by Lauren Kay Merrett on behalf of Super C located at 1645 Juan Sanchez Boulevard, San Luis, Arizona. (Sonia Cornelio, City Clerk)

C. Action on recommendation of the Liquor License Application to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for Super C.

SUMMARY:

Ms. Lauren Kay Marrett submitted a Liquor License application to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control. The notice of the application was posted in a conspicuous place at the premises proposed to be licensed by the above applicant and said notice was posted for at least twenty (20) days pursuant to A.R.S. §4-201. The Office of the City Clerk received a telephone call from a resident to inquire about the school listed on the application in Section No. 13. In Section No. 13 of the application, the applicant had not listed the closest school to the proposed premises for the liquor license. It had listed San Luis Middle School as the closest school rather than the actual closest school, South West Junior High. The Department of Liquor Licenses and Control was contacted by my office and the Department instructed that the City Clerk is to contact the applicant to make the correction to Section No. 13. Once it was corrected, the application was filed at the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control and a copy was forwarded to the City Clerk's office for proper posting. The Clerk had the amended form posted at Super C for the public's view.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

B. I MOVE TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING.

C. I MOVE TO RECOMMEND THE LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION TO THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF LIQUOR LICENSES AND CONTROL FOR SUPER C.
