Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding a contract with PACE Advance Water Engineering to provide professional engineering services for the SCADA (Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition) assessment of the Water and Wastewater systems. (Manuel Hernandez, Assistant Director of Public Works)
SUMMARY:
The SCADA assessments are the first step towards remotely; monitoring, controlling, and to some degree operating our Water and Wastewater Systems. The assessments will include:
1. Onsite data gathering
2. Data evaluation
3. Assessment report
4. Cost estimates for system design, implementation, and equipment selection
5. Programming and integration plan
6. Project schedule
Public Works is seeking the Mayor and Council approval to award a professional services contract to PACE Advance Water Engineering for this project in the amount of $46,150.00. This purchase falls under the provisions of City Code 3.05.080, which states: "Contracts for professional services in excess of $45,000.00, must be approved by the Mayor and Council."
