Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the appointment of a Chief of Police.  (Jenny Torres, Acting City Manager) 

SUMMARY:

Under the San Luis City Code § 2.15.10 and § 2.20.20, as amended on January 1, 2023, the Chief of Police is a City Officer who service at the pleasure of the City Council.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:

I MOVE TO APPOINT _____________________________ AS CHIEF OF POLICE AND DIRECT STAFF TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT TO BRING BACK TO CITY COUNCIL.
