Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2316.  A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, amending the 2023-2024 Classification and Salary Structures to create six (6) new classifications and change/amend four (4) classifications; superseding any conflicting provisions of existing regulations, policies, or procedures; providing for severability. Organizational structure is continually assessed to ensure it provides a clear framework for decision-making and resource allocation, enabling the City to operate effectively and achieve its goals.  During a re-structure that took place last year, the Facilities Division was placed under the Administration Department.  Following additional research, which indicates Facilities Divisions are under the Public Works Departments in other municipalities, we are moving the Facilities Division to Public Works.  Attached to this item (Exhibit 1) provides organizational charts for departments that are being moved/re-structured.
 
Furthermore, review of classifications is conducted periodically to assist departments circumvent the challenge of attracting and retaining qualified talent.  Attached to this item (Exhibit 2) provides the full Classification and Pay Structures outlining additions and changes/amendments for Fiscal Year 2024-2025.  The attachment includes listings in both alpha order by Classification and numeric order by Pay Grade.
