ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2332. A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, Arizona, approving the designation of the Acting City Manager Jenny Torres and Fire Chief Angel Ramirez as Authorized Representatives for the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs; repealing conflicting provisions; and providing for severability. (Roula Encinas, Director of Finance)
SUMMARY:
Under the Arizona Revised Statutes Title 26 and the Arizona Administrative Code §§ R-2-301 and R-2-302, Arizona's City Councils designate Authorized Representatives to request the Arizona Governor's Emergency Fund through the State of Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs ("DEMA"), Division of Emergency Management. The Authorized Representatives may also request time extension and attend to other recovery matters related to a specific governor-declared emergency.
DEMA brought to the staff's attention that the City of San Luis last designated Authorized Representatives in 2005. At that time, Rosie Cordova was the City Manager, and Othon Luna was the Fire Chief.
Resolution No. 2332 assigns current staff in those positions as the Authorized Representatives.

RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO APPROVE AND ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2332 DESIGNATING ACTING CITY MANAGER JENNY TORRES AND FIRE CHIEF ANGEL RAMIREZ AS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES FOR DEMA, AS PRESENTED.
