ITEM:
Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the increase of the approved budget in Account No. 200-210-90010 (Highway User Revenue Funds). (Eulogio Vera, Public Works Director)
SUMMARY:
In fiscal year 2014- 2015, City Council approved the payment of eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000.00) to Greater Yuma Port Authority (GYPA) for roadway improvement as part of the Magrino Industrial Park Unit 2 Subdivision. Payment was executed in fiscal year 2015- 2016 but due to it not being budgeted in fiscal year 2015-2016, it was paid out of the pavement preservation appropriated amount. Now the pavement preservation needs to be replenished so that slurry and chip seal projects can be completed as planned and budgeted. Highway Users Revenue Fund (HURF) for fiscal year 2015- 2016 needs to be increased by eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000.00) to cover the payment to GYPA.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I HEREBY MOVE TO INCREASE APPROVED BUDGET IN ACCOUNT NO. 200-210-90010 FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016 BY EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($85,000.00).

FISCAL IMPACT STATEMENT (IF THIS IS A BUDGET TRANSFER, YOU MUST ATTACH THE BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FORM):
Payment to Greater Yuma Port Authority was not budgeted this fiscal year as payment was approved as an increase in appropriation during fiscal year 2014-2015. Invoice was received and paid in fiscal year 2015- 2016 to avoid penalties. It was paid out of General Ledger Acct #200-210-90010 Highway Users Revenue Fund (HURF) but now a replenishment needs to happen to fund budgeted pavement preservation projects.
