Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding the previously approved purchase of fifteen (15) portable radios for the San Luis Police Department and payment of sales taxes. (Acting Chief of Police Victor Figueroa)
SUMMARY:
Council previously approved the purchase of 15 portable radios from Motorola and approved the amount of $58,809.75 as quoted to the San Luis Police Department . Upon the receiving invoice, the total price came out to $65,109.47 with sales tax included. The San Luis Police Department is seeking ratification of the purchase and authorization to use funds from the general fund capital outlay account to pay the difference of $6,299.72 that is necessary to complete this purchase.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE TO RATIFY THE PURCHASE OF 15 PORTABLE RADIOS FOR THE SAN LUIS POLICE DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF THE SALES TAXES IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,299.72.
