Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding Resolution No. 2416.  A resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Luis, authorizing the submission of an application to the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, to renew lease AZA-17382 — the Recreation and Public Purposes Lease (R&PP) of May 18, 2001.  (Jorge Perez, Assistant Director of Public Works)

This is a request for authorization to submit a Recreation and Public Purpose (R&PP) lease renewal for the continued use of approximately 2 acres of land for a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and to authorize the City Manager or designee to sign the resulting documents. 

On October 30, 2002, the Bureau of Land Management granted the City of San Luis lease AZA-17382, effective as of May 18, 2001, in accordance with the authority of the R&PP Act of June 14, 1926, as amended (43 U.S.C. 869, et seq.). 

This application requires a certified copy of a resolution authorizing the filing of the application and authorizing a signing officer to execute it. The approval of Resolution No. 2416 will meet this requirement.
