Discussion and possible action on any and all matters regarding authorization to join the Strategic Alliance for Volume Expenditures (SAVE) Cooperative Purchasing Agreement. (Angelica Cifuentes, Purchasing Agent III)
SUMMARY:
The City of San Luis is seeking the City Council's authorization to join another purchasing option that will be utilized as a cooperative agreement. By becoming a member of the SAVE Cooperative Purchasing Group, the City of San Luis does not incur any costs. This purchasing option will allow the City to purchase from vendors that have already gone through the bidding process and will potentially lead to cost savings when used.
RECOMMENDATION / SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE THAT THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO ENTER INTO THE AGREEMENT FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE SAVE COOPERATIVE PURCHASING GROUP ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS AND TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTIONS AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO PUT THE AGREEMENT INTO EFFECT.
