Adopt Resolution #20-284 Establishing Precinct and Polling Locations for the 2021 Election Year

Purpose:  To establish polling locations for 2021.

Background:  The language in State Statutes requires both cities and school districts to pass a resolution prior to December 31st of each year setting polling places for the following year.  This must be done even if there are no changes in locations or scheduled elections.  Attached is the resolution for adoption establishing the polling locations.  Council should note there are no changes to the City's polling places.

Observations/Alternatives:  Council is required to adopt a resolution establishing polling locations for the coming year.  This is done annually, even if there is no election slated for the coming year.  Alternatives could include changing the polling place locations.  The current polling locations are available for 2021 and have functioned well, consequently,  no changes are recommended at this time.
