Title:
Recognize Mayor John LeTourneau and Councilmember Jeff Menth for their Service to the City of Ramsey
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this presentation is to recognize Mayor John LeTourneau and Councilmember Jeff Menth for their service to the City of Ramsey.
Mayor LeTourneau has served the City of Ramsey since 2000 when he was appointed to serve on the Economic Development Authority. His time on the EDA spanned from July 2000 through December 2013. Next he was elected to the City Council as an At-large Councilmember and took office on January 8, 2013. Finally, he was elected as Ramsey's Mayor, filling a partial Mayoral term, this term officially ends when the new Mayor takes office on January 4, 2021. Both as a Councilmember and Mayor, John LeTourneau has served on countless Council committees and other community initiatives.
Councilmember Jeff Menth was elected to the City Council At-large seat in the August 2019 Special Election. He took office on August 27, 2019, filling the partial At-large seat. Councilmember Menth will serve until January 4, 2021. Councilmember Menth has served on numerous Council committees and community initiatives.
The City Council and staff would like to thank both Mayor LeTourneau and Councilmember Menth for their service and wish them both well in their future endeavors.
