Ordinance 24-16: Hold a public hearing to consider adopting proposed Ordinance 24-16 Granting Franchise to Alien Trash. (Heldenbrand/Chaparro)
BACKGROUND:

Alien Trash is a solid waste collection company that wishes to engage in the business of solid waste collection within the City.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION
In consideration for the City’s grant of the Collection Franchise, Alien Trash shall pay franchise fees, in an amount equaling 7% of its gross receipts for all activities under the Collection Franchise (the “Franchise Fees”).
LEGAL REVIEW:
The Deputy City Attorney drafted the proposed Ordinance.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
Legal Committee voted (3-0) to refer to City Council at their meeting on September 26, 2024.
