ACTION REQUESTED:
Ordinance 24-20: Hold a public hearing to consider adopting proposed Ordinance 24-20 Amending the Dedication of a Municipal Local Option Gross Receipts Tax. (Corn/Heldenbrand)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Mayor Pro Tem/ Heldenbrand
This Ordinance will dedicate a five sixteenths (0.3125%) for the following: 1. Provide an ambulance system in good repair and pay legitimate expenses of its operation; 2. Create and maintain an ambulance service creation fund of no less than three million dollars ($3,000,000.00) 3. All remaining funds shall be expended for Roswell's Public Safety needs.

No change to total general revenue.

Legal Committee recommended to send to Finance Committee 3-0 at their meeting on September 26, 2024. Finance Committee recommended approval 4-0 at their meeting on October 3, 2024.
