ACTION REQUESTED:
Consider recommending authorization to utilize Roswell Independent School District (SRO) monies up to $90,000.00 to purchase Real Time Crime Center cameras and equipment. It will be reimbursed from the State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) grant. (Aldana)

BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Albert Aldana, Deputy Chief
The Roswell Police department obtained reimbursement from RISD for the School Resource Officers within the school district. The total amount was $100,000.00 which was obtained, deposited and transferred to RPD account. The money requested, which is only $90,000, will be used to purchase cameras and equipment for the Real Time Crime Center. Funding Source - the money will be reimbursed by the State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) grant.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION:
Monies used from our account will be reimbursed by the grant and placed back into our account.

At Public Safety meeting on 11/19/24, it was voted (4-0), to send to Finance Committee.
