ACTION REQUESTED:
Consider Recommendation of Resolution 25-XX for support of projects in response to the NMDOT’s January 2025 TPF Funding Call For Projects. (Najar/MacCornack)
- This is for project application support. Any awarded projects would have to be budget adjusted one formal award is received.
1. 2nd St. (US 380) Pavement Maint. - $1,520,000 (State $1,444,000, City Match $76,000)
2. S. Atkinson Mill & Fill Capital- $2,660,000 (State $2,527,000, City Match $133,000)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: James MacCornack
The NMDOT has issued a “Call For Projects”. These are projects that should be considered easily ready for bidding or other procurement process. The funding level for awarded projects is 95% NMDOT and 5% Local Match. The City of Roswell has been successful in previous applications, including award of Atkinson and Hobbs Mill & Fill Projects. Formal project awards will be in September 2025 after NMDOT Highway Commission approval. Projects to be applied for are:
1. 2nd St. (US 380) Pavement Maintenance Project (Sunset to E. City Limits)
2. S. Atkinson Mill & Fill/ADA Capital Project; (Brasher to McGaffey)

Resolution 25-XX has been submitted to City Attorney for review.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
Infrastructure Committee on 2/24/2025 voted (4-0) to recommend this item to March 6, 2025 Finance Committee.
