ACTION REQUESTED:

Consider recommending authorization for repair of Waste Water Treatment Plant MRAS Basin Pedestrian Bridge to Smith Co Construction for $66,146.05 which includes GRT. (Najar/MacCornack)

Funding Source - Project to be funded with Waste Water Treatment Plant Maintenance & Repair budget, budget adjustment will be required.

BACKGROUND:

Initiated by: James MacCornack

The City of Roswell is seeking services for the repair of the walkway bridge that crosses the MRAS Basin at the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Quotes solicited utilizing RFP 25-001 Utility On-Call Utility Repair Services. Only one vendor responded with a quote to the RFQ:

1. Smithco Construction $ 66,146.05 with GRT
2. AUI Notification of no quote received
3. J&H Services No quote received

Please see attached recommendation of award letter to Purchasing.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION:

Project to be funded with Waste Water Treatment Plant Maintenance & Repair budget, budget adjustment will be required.

LEGAL REVIEW:

No legal review required at this time.

BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:

Infrastructure Committee on 3/17/2025 voted (4-0) to recommend award of repair of Waste Water Treatment Plant MRAS Basin Pedestrian Bridge to Smithco Construction for $66,146.05 which includes GRT to April 2025 Finance Committee with a recommendation to place on City Council consent agenda.
