ACTION REQUESTED:
Recommend approval of the City of Roswell Transit's new proposed fare structure #1. (Corn/Hicks)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated by: Becky Hicks
For several Infrastructure Committee meetings, we have discussed the idea of going fare-free. However, it has come to our attention that the Federal Government intends to deny funding to Transit Authorities that are fare-free. Therefore, it was suggested that we consider reducing fares instead. This proposal will also need to be reviewed by the Finance Committee.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION:
According to the attached spreadsheet figures, this proposal will result in a loss of approximately $8,500 to $15,000 in City revenues based on ridership.
LEGAL REVIEW:
No legal review is required.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
The Finance Committee recommended approval (4-0) at their meeting on June 5, 2025.

Proceed as presented.
