ACTION REQUESTED:
Consider the recommendation of the Roswell Invasion's Crash and Clash Wrestling Tournament Lodgers' Tax Funding Request to City Council to open negotiations with the City of Roswell for sponsorship. (Conyers)
BACKGROUND:

From their application: This tournament is held at Roswell High School at the end of the High School Rio Hondo Tournament. All planning and preparation is taken care of by the Roswell Invasion Wrestling Club. Wrestlers come in on Saturday for official weigh-ins prior to the start of the Novice tournament on Saturday evening and the qualifier tournament on Sunday.

BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
The Occupancy Tax Board recommended (5-0) to award Roswell Invasion Crash and Clash Wrestling Tournament $5,000 in sponsorship at their July 22, 2025, meeting.
