ACTION REQUESTED:
Consider the recommendation of a budget adjustment in the amount of $714,316.51 to purchase equipment needed for the Water Maintenance Construction Crew from the Water Enterprise Fund cash reserves. (Valadez)
BACKGROUND:
Initiated By: Andrew Valadez
This purchase is intended to equip a 9-person construction crew to perform in-house replacement of aging waterline infrastructure. This will enable the City to save on contractor costs by insourcing replacement projects.
This purchase will include the following:
- QTY 1 2026 Cat Loader
- QTY 2 Sykes Pumps
- QTY 2 Backhoes
- QTY 1 Hydra-Stop Valve Insertion Equipment
