ACTION REQUESTED:
Discussion and direction on next steps for the proposed FY27 budget and recommendations that were made at the Public Safety Committee meeting.
BACKGROUND:
Per Resolution 25-50, the Proposed Budget was presented at the March 17, 2026, Public Safety Committee Meeting. The Public Safety Committee reviewed the FY24 Proposed Budget for the departments that report to the committee. No recommended changes to the proposed budget were made. The departments are listed below.
- Animal Control
- Code Enforcement
- Consolidated Dispatch
- Emergency Management
- Fire
- Police

Not applicable for this agenda item.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
The Public Safety Committee reviewed the FY27 Proposed Budget for the departments listed above at their March 17, 2026, meeting. No recommended changes to the proposed budget were made.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends discussion and direction from the Finance Committee. The FY27 proposed budget is not yet ready for final approval and would benefit from additional review, refinement, and potential workshop discussion.
