The City of Roswell, New Mexico, is seeking qualified conservation professionals or firms to undertake the assessment, stabilization, and conservation of approximately 1,200 three-dimensional artifacts associated with the work and legacy of rocket pioneer Dr. Robert H. Goddard. These artifacts have been impacted by a recent flood event, resulting in varying levels of water exposure, contamination, and material degradation. The collection primarily includes early rocket components and assemblies, workshop equipment and tools, recording devices, furnishings, fabricated parts, and personal effects. In addition to these objects, the project includes evaluation and conservation for a large-scale outdoor rocket tower structure approximately 80 feet in height.
