SUMMARY/BACKGROUND:
This Project focuses on improving safety along Glassford Hill Road from Centre Court to Long Look Drive by improving negatively offset left-turn lanes at the intersections of:
• Centre Court
• Florentine Road
• Veterans Way
• Lakeshore Drive
This Project will include sidewalks along the east side of Glassford Hill Road from Veterans Way to Lakeshore Drive.
These improvements are identified in the Town’s Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Action Plan.
Town staff has received a proposal for design services from HDR Engineering, Inc. Staff is requesting that Town Council consider approving a professional services agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $284,821.76 for the design of this Project.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Motion to approve the Professional Services Agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $284,821.76 for design services (plus an owner contingency in the amount of $14,241) for the Glassford Hill Road Left Turn Offsets Project (CIP #CS2705).

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the Professional Services Agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $284,821.76.
FISCAL ANALYSIS:
Total Cost this Request: $299,062.76
Contract funding for design services: $284,821.76 (plus owner contingency of 5% in the amount of $14,241.00)
Funding Source: The total project budget is funded as follows:
Streets – Construction Sales Tax (Fund 400) - $300,000.00
Budget Impact: The full project cost of the Glassford Hill Road Left Turn Offsets – CIP# CS2705 in the amount of $300,000.00 was approved with the FY27 Budget.
Purchasing Method and Results: This is a Direct Select under Town Code 3-04-080
