SUMMARY/BACKGROUND:
Jeffrey Craig Miller, Agent, filed an Acquisition of Control application on behalf of Sakura Japanese Hibachi Grill & Sushi Bar (6648 N Viewpoint Drive #1-2, Prescott Valley, AZ 86315). Sakura Japanese Hibachi Grill & Sushi Bar currently holds an active Series 12 Restaurant Liquor License.
Pursuant to ARS §4-203(F), the local governing body may provide a recommendation either in favor of or against the Acquisition of Control within sixty (60) days of receiving notice. Because ARS §4-201 does not apply, a public hearing is not required. If the recommendation is against the requested Acquisition of Control, the matter would be set for a hearing before the Arizona State Liquor Board.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Motion to recommend approval of the Acquisition of Control application for Sakura Japanese Hibachi Grill & Sushi Bar (6648 N Viewpoint Drive #1-2, Prescott Valley, AZ) to the Arizona Department of Liquor License & Control. VOTE.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Town staff recommends that the Town Council recommend approval of the Acquisition of Control application for Sakura Japanese Hibachi Grill & Sushi Bar (6648 N Viewpoint Drive #1-2, Prescott Valley, AZ).
FISCAL ANALYSIS:
Transaction privilege tax revenues are expected to be generated from sales.
