Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to utilize national purchasing cooperative vendors: Amazon Business (Omnia Partners R-TC-17006), Staples Business Advantage (Sourcwell #012320-SCC), Home Depot (Omnia Partners #16154 and #17009), Lowe's Pro (Omnia Partners R192006), Grainger (Omnia Partners R192002), Southern Tire Mart (BuyBoard 636-21), Lakeshore Learning (Omnia Partners R190501), Office Depot Business Solutions (Omnia Partners R190303) for the purchase of goods and services for Fiscal Year 2025 in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code: Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Program, Sections 271.101, 271.102 (Cooperative Purchasing Participation) and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue: Webb County benefits from online marketplace vendors that provide value pricing on various items.
Solution: Utilizing national cooperative pricing through online marketplace vendors is a mechanism for providing Webb County with better costs and value for items purchased utilizing public funds.
