Discussion and possible action to revise the current number of years of experience for the newly created and approved Truancy Case Manager, grade 16 position from five (5) years of experience working with adolescents specifically with the truancy population and related juvenile and minor programs to two (2) years or more experience with juvenile or minor programs.

Purpose: The proposed changes would be more aligned with the grade of the position and would allow for further candidates to be considered.

Recommendation: For the Commissioners Court to approve the revision.

The Truancy Case Manager, grade 16 position was approved during the 2024-2025 Budget process and will be providing identification/assessment, intervention diversion, and community-based referrals to social services for juveniles and their families by using individual judgment and discretion.
