Discussion and possible action to accept the award and enter into an agreement with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) DR-4705-0011-TX in the amount of $130,122.40 for the Hazard Mitigation Plan project, and authorizing the County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue: Notice of Award from Texas Division of Emergency Management for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program was received on January 6, 2025. Webb County currently does not have a Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Solution: Acceptance of this award will assist Webb County in forming a Hazard Mitigation plan that will reduce the loss of life and property by minimizing the impact of disasters.
Result: Funding will be provided to Webb County.
