Discussion with possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to add one (2) cell phone lines, including data service, in accordance with the current approved AT&T FirstNet Plan to the Webb County Court-at-Law II Juvenile Drug Treatment Court (Youth Success Court) pursuant to Sections 271.101 and 272.102, Texas Local Government Code, Cooperative Purchasing program DIR Agreement TELE-CTSA-002 at a monthly rate of $40.99 per line, plus surcharges and other fees; and subject to the grant annual budgetary appropriation; and authorize the County Judge sign all relevant documents; and any other matter incident thereto. One cell phone line will be for Case Manager and the other for Judicial Communications Specialist. Issue: Juvenile Drug Treatment Court parent/guardian of participants reach out to our office during non-working business hours, arrest, especially during a crisis, runaway status, and other evolving situations. Or our court staff must provide a number to be able to text information relevant to the court program and communicate with other agencies.

Solution: This will provide the JDT Court with a centralized call-in system.

Result: By approving the 2 cell phone devices, it will avoid the use of JDT Court staff's personal phones. Consequently, it will allow a more effective and prompt service to the JDT Court youth's specific needs.

Currently the court team does not have a rapid line of communication to disseminate information to court participants, parents and community partners. The Webb County Court-at-Law II Juvenile Drug Treatment Court team will be easily available to communicate effectively.
