Discussion and possible action to ratify the use of capital outlay funds in the amount not to exceed $19,800.00 for the electrical infrastructure improvements required to provide power to the water well project in Los Bontines, low bidder Midas Contractors, LLC. was issued a Purchase Order to complete the scope of work which included but not limited to the installation of electrical service equipment including new electrical panels, trenching, conduit, wire and back-filling for electrical power connection from service location to water system and mobile office and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #2007-7140-001-4700 (Road and Bridge Capital Outlay)]
Issue: An informal solicitation was conducted for the needed electrical equipment and installation of electrical power at the location for the Los Botines Water Well Project. This electrical work is pending before awarded vendor Bulls Eye Services, LLC can proceed with the construction of the water well.
Solution: Consideration to authorize the ratification of utilizing capital outlay funds for these services to comply with Webb County’s procurement policy addressing non-budgeted capital improvements.
Result: Disclosure and approval of capital outlay funds used for the required purchase of electrical services, supplies, equipment and installation. The completion of this scope of work will allow the selected contractor (Bulls Eye Services, LLC.) to proceed with the construction of the water well in Los Botines area located on County-owned land.

Midas Contractors will provide all labor, equipment and supervision necessary to perform the following work.
1.- Provide 200A/1PH/240V electrical service complete with new electrical panels to serve new water system and mobile
office.
2.- Electrical power connection to water pump starter(provided by others).
3.- Trenching, conduit, wire and back-filling for electrical power connection from service location to water system and
mobile office
