Issue: At the September 22, 2025, meeting, Commissioners Court approved renewal of the restaurant lease agreement with Herculano Saurez, DBA Saurez Restaurant LLC. At that same meeting, the Court also approved renovations to the restaurant facility. Mr. Saurez has since requested to defer the lease renewal until after the renovations are completed, to avoid disruptions in restaurant operations and services.

Solution: Rescind the September 22, 2025, action under Consent Item 23c approving the restaurant lease renewal, and allow Mr. Saurez to revisit the lease extension upon completion of the renovations.

Result: This action will provide flexibility for the lessee, prevent service interruptions during the renovation period, and ensure that the lease renewal reflects the updated condition of the facility.
