Discussion and possible action to approve and execute the FY 2025-26 State Application 5311-2025 - 26 Rural Public Transit Grant from Webb County Community Action Agency to the State of Texas through IGX (TxDOT website) in the amount of TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY THREE DOLLARS ($285,243.00) acting through Texas Department of Transportation wherein Webb County El Aguila Rural Transit will be applying by meeting the required deadlines. This grant does not require a cash match, and, thus will have no impact on the General Fund. All required documentation has been submitted to the Economic Development Department for review and was found to be compliant with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) policy.  [Requested by Community Action Agency Rural Public Transit; Grant #2661]

Issue: Webb County CAA El Aguila Rural Public Transit is a grant-funded agency.

Solution: Through the approval by the court to approve and execute the state application, Webb County will enable the department to receive these needed grant funds.  

Result: Approval of the state grant application will ensure the continuation of transportation for the residents residing in the rural areas of Webb County.
