Issue: Legacy Water Supply Corporation wants to evaluate the quality, compatibility, blending potential, and treatment characteristics of groundwater from deep Carrizo Aquifer wells and surface water from the Rio Grande River sources from facilities operated by the City of Laredo and Webb County.
Solution: The parties enter into an Interlocal Agreement to share the costs of a study and to coordinate the collection, testing, and conducting of blending analysis of samples from these water sources to evaluate their compatibility for co-treatment and blending using the City's El Pico Water Treatment Plant and other infrastructure.
Result: Legacy Water Supply Corporation will have a study that evaluates the quality, compatibility, blending potential, and
treatment characteristics of groundwater from Legacy Water Supply Corporation deep Carrizo Aquifer wells.
