Discussion and possible action to approve an extension of the existing non-financial Senior Job Skills Training Program Agreement by and between Webb County (“Host Agency”) and the AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program. The agreement was originally set to expire in August 2025; however, due to lack of funding, the program was temporarily paused effective July 1, 2025, and resumed on November 11, 2025, through December 31st, 2025. This extension will allow the continuation of the program, which provides job training opportunities for senior citizen volunteers at no cost to Webb County, and authorizes the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue: The AARP Senior Community Service Employment Program agreement was set to expire in August 2025 but was paused on July 1, 2025, due to lack of funding.
Solution: Extend the existing non-financial agreement to allow the program to continue.
