Discussion and possible action to approve the ratification of an emergency order for a 12” waterline repair approximately 60’ located under a County bridge serving El Cenizo community to Mor-Wil, LLC. not to exceed $62,250.00 and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #7200-7050-001-443000-105 (Repairs & Maintenance Water Lines)]
Issue: Water Utility crews discovered a main 12” waterline supplying water to all residents of El Cenizo leaking. It was located under a County bridge and needed to be repaired on an emergency basis to prevent interruption of water services to El Cenizo residents.
Solution: Approve ratification of emergency purchase order exceeding $50,000.00. Funding was available within the Water Utilities repair and maintenance to water line account.
Result: Emergency repair is estimated to be completed by December the 5th.
