Discussion and possible action to authorize the demolition and debris removal of a county-owned structure located at 920 Houston Street (Front-AKA Rock House) with MIDAS Contractors, LLC. (Buy-Board Contract # 783-25) for an amount not to exceed $23,000.00 pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Sections 271.101, 271.102, Sub-Chapter F. cooperative Purchasing Programs and to further authorize General Counsel to prepare the demolition contract for execution by the County Judge and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-1130-001-470000 (Capital Outlay)]

Issue: On October 27, 2025, Commissioners Court authorized the demolition contract with Midas Contractors, LLC. for dilapidated county-owned building structures located both at 918 & 920 (Rear) Houston Street.  The front property at 920 Houston Street was not originally included in the scope of work and is being recommended to be demolished.

Solution: Consideration to approve the buy board pricing proposal by MIDAS Contractors, LLC.  

Result: If approved, a contract for the demolition work will be executed.
