Discussion and possible action to approve the use of the contingency allowance as stipulated under §4.3 (allowances) under the construction agreement between Webb County and Mor-Wil, LLC in an amount not to exceed $79,121.00 for Material Testing and the installation and removal of an Air Bridge for ARPA Project No. 0004, 0005, 0009, 0010, 0012 and 0013 – Waterline Projects and to further authorize the Webb County Judge to sign any relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Based on the request from Ardurra Group, Inc., Engineer (Ronald W. Miller II) a revision was requested to alter the testing intervals from every 150-LF to every 500-LF for the proposed water line at a cost of $43,371.00 and the installation and removal of a temporary Air Bridge (4' x 8" x 16') is required by Enterprise Gas in order to protect the existing gas line during the duration of the water line project at a cost of $35,750.00.

Solution: Consideration to authorize the use of $79,121.00 from the owner's contingency allowance funds.

Result: If approved, the contractor will be authorized to use the owner's contingency amount as approved by Commissioners Court. There will be no increase or decrease to the original contract sum.
