Issue: Oilton City residents have voiced concerns regarding automobiles speeding in the area on all sides of the park along the following county roads: Mackin Avenue, Welhausen Road, Jim Neal Avenue and Torrecillas Road.

Solution: Approval of agenda item to proceed with the future installation of the speed humps around the City of Oilton Park and Baseball Field area.

Result: Safe roads for the residents of the residents of the City of Oilton Texas and surrounding areas.

On February 12, 2024, an Agenda Item was submitted to authorize the Purchasing Agen to solicit Requests for Qualifications (RFQ's) for Civil Engineering services to do a roadway speed study for the installation of speed humps inthe City of Oilton, Texas, pursuant to the Professional Services Act.

On July 10, 2023, an Agenda Item was submitted to authorize the Civil Legal Department to research and present legal options and process for the installation of speed humps within the County of Webb.
