Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit a formal Invitation to Bid for the Acceleration and Deceleration Lane Project for the Webb County Public Health Facility pursuant to the Texas Government Code; §2269.101 Contracts for Facilities (Competitive Bidding) and §2269.102 Use of Architect or Engineer by designating the County Engineering Department to prepare the construction documents required for this project and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Webb County Public Health Facility requires acceleration and deceleration of vehicular lanes to improve safety, traffic flow, and proper access to the facility when entering and exiting.

Solution: Consideration to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit a formal ITB and to further consider designating the Webb County Engineering department to prepare the construction documents and project oversight.

Result: If approved, the Purchasing Agent will publish the ITB to secure competitive bids.
