Discussion and possible action to approve the use of contingency allowance #002 as stipulated under §4.3 (allowances) under the construction agreement between Webb County and Leyendecker Construction., in an amount not to exceed $53,230.00 for additional structural services, restaurant roof repairs and switchgear additions for the Webb County 1848 Fairgrounds Pavilion & Restaurant Renovation Project and to further authorize the release of Pay Application No. 5 to Leyendecker Construction: and have the Webb County Judge sign any relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Additional structural consulting services are needed regarding existing cracks located along the east wall of the restaurant's building; also, the roof is in need of repairs and the switchgear needs to be upgraded.
 
Solution: Consideration to authorize the use of $53,230.00 from the owner's contingency allowance funds. The structural engineer made a site visit, submitted a report and provided recommendations. The roofing company will replace damaged panels, replace fasteners and closures and apply two (2) coats of elastomeric roof coating. The switchgear resistance rating will go from 10KAIC to 42KAIC.

Result: If approved, the contractor will be authorized to use the owner's contingency amount as approved by Commissioners Court. There will be no increase or decrease to the original contract sum.
