Discussion and possible action to appoint Jeronimo Martinez to the Webb County Child Welfare Board pursuant to Texas Family Code Section 264.005.
Issue: Texas Family Code section 264.005 allows the commissioners court of a county to appoint a child welfare board to oversee and support child welfare services within the county. There currently exist several vacancies on the Board. The Commissioners Court approves all appointments to said Board.
Solution: Appointment of Mr. Martinez would allow him to serve on the Board.
Result: If appointed, Mr. Martinez will be able to serve as a board member immediately.
