Discussion and possible action to approve the Tuition Reimbursement Obligation Agreement between Four (4) Webb County Public Health employees and Webb County for their voluntary participation in the Certified Phlebotomy Technician Program being offered by Texas A&M International University – Office of Continuing Education at a cost of Two Thousand Two Hundred and Ninety-Five Dollars ($2,295) per employee and paid for by Webb County, effective September 23, 2024; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Laboratory services for rural areas are being requested by residents, but there is a lack of providers in the area. 

Solution: By having current staff receive certification, additional lab drawing services will be available in rural communities as well as the Employee Clinic.

Result: Staff will be able to provide lab drawing services at the Bruni Public Health Facility, Employee Clinic, and future South Public Health Facility.  This will allow residents to access this service in their community without having to commute to Laredo and provide employees an additional site for lab drawing services.

Agreement was signed by Webb County employees participating in TAMIU's Certified Public Manager Program.
