Discussion and possible action to enter into an architectural services contract (AIA B104-2017- Standard Abbreviated Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect) with Madeline Anz Slay Architecture, LLC for the design (construction plans and specifications) for the renovation to the existing Webb County Fairground Facility to include but not limited to Pavilion restrooms and concession areas, outside restrooms, restaurant restrooms, restaurant walls/flooring and kitchen areas for a total cost of One Hundred Ten Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($110,125.00) and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. [Account #1001-1130-001-432001 (General Fund-General Operating Exp-Administration-Professional Services]
 
Issue: The Webb County Fairgrounds Facility is in need of renovations in order for the County to provide a quality venue that can be rented to the community and special interest groups.
 
Solution: At its November 13, 2023 meeting, the Webb County Commissioners Court authorized the Webb County Purchasing Agent to solicit Request for Qualifications for Architectural Services in order to design (plans and specifications) and contract administration for renovations to the Webb County Fairgrounds Facility. At its January 8, 2024 meeting the Webb County Commissioners Court awarded Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2024-003 “Architectural Services for Renovations to Fairgrounds Facility” to Slay Architecture to undertake the renovation work to the Fairgrounds Facility.
 
Result: Slay Architecture will provide the design work for the renovation to the existing Webb County Fairground Facility to include but not limited to Pavilion restrooms and concession areas, outside restrooms, restaurant restrooms, restaurant walls/flooring and kitchen areas.

Currently, the Fairgrounds Facility is in need of renovations in order for the County to provide a quality venue that can be rented to the community and special interest groups.
