Discussion and possible action to enter into a One (1) year (September 4, 2024 thru September 3, 2025) self-storage rental lease agreement with South Meadow Self Storage for use by the Webb County Engineering Department for two (2) 10’ by 15’ units (space rental numbers #117 and #155) at a cost of One Hundred Sixty Five Dollars ($165.00) per month for each unit with a one month discount for a one year lease (annual cost of $3,960 for both units), and authorizing the County Judge to sign and execute all relevant documents, and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-5030-001-463555]  

Issue: The Engineering Department is in need of storage space for their office furniture and filing cabinets as a result of them switching office spaces with the Public Health Department in their current facility. This move was done to accommodate for the increase in personnel in the Public Health Department.  

Solution: Approval of rental units by Commissioners Court will allow the storage of these items at an off-site location and relieve office space that is needed. 

Result: The storage units will store the filing cabinets and furniture needed by the Engineering Department at a later date.
