Discussion and possible action to ratify the 2024 - 2025 United States Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food Program (USDA CACFP) continuation grant for the Head Start and Early Head Start program from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. This program provides reimbursement of meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Snack) to enrolled children and salaries of kitchen staff. Background:
The USDA CACFP grant is a continuation grant for reimbursement of costs for child meals, kitchen and food expenses, and kitchen staff salaries. It is updated on an annual basis and supplemented with Head Start grant funds.
